Alternative Drainage sets the standard for drainage services in Garforth
Alternative Drainage have been clearing and unblocking the drains of Garforth for over 18 years. Our Garforth Drainage Engineers work daily unblocking commercial and household drains throughout the Garforth and surrounding area. As a result our engineers understand the Garforth Drain Systems, and we understand the needs of the local people.
We have undertaken many projects throughout the Garforth and surrounding areas including Micklefield, Kippax, Swillington and Allerton Bywater areas. Garforth is a town within the City of Leeds metropolitan borough, in West Yorkshire and has a population of around 16,000. Garforth prospered and grew as a result of the coal mining industry in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is well served by transport links, both the A1 and M1 are minutes away, and the M62 also lies close by to the South of the town. There are two railway stations, Garforth and East Garforth, both on the mainline route between Leeds, York, the North East and Scotland, and between Leeds, Hull and the coast.

We find Alternative Drainage in the Yellow Pages and asked their advice on what the problem might be. Emma advised us that the smell may be caused by waste escaping from a drain pipe beneath the garden, and suggesting a CCTV camera survey to assess the problem. The next day one of their Garforth drain engineers arrived and used this clever piece of equipment like a remote control car with a camera on top to drive down the drain. It wasn’t long before they saw the problem. Some roots had infiltrated the drain pipe, causing the drain to crack. As a consequence waste had been escaping. Whilst they did have to dig a small part of the garden turf to access the drain and repair the damage, they did it with the minimum fuss and hassle. We would certainly recommend their drainage services to anyone in the Garforth or surrounding areas.”
Whilst the majority of pipes in Yorkshire, and the rest of England, have recently undergone...
